Cockpit lighting
Work continues on our Venom DH-112. The various cockpit lights are almost finished. They are all controlled by a specific controller for each light: the on-board lighting, the instrument lighting, and the UV lighting.
Fuel management
In front of the Clin d’Ailes museum at Payerne airfield (Switzerland), our Venom continues its transformation to become the new flagship of our squadron. For the precise fuel consumption tests, the flunts were created, and the elements related to the fuel gauge were modeled. For the pleasure of the eyes, the functional rear view mirror was implemented. And for realism, the smoke effects at the start have been corrected.
Vampire DH 100 AXALP
We present you a nice video made with our Vampire DH-100 during a shooting exercise on the Axalp! The director of this video is Charles, our project manager and former military pilot. He used FSX for the parking part (FSRecoder), P3Dv4.5 for the shooting part and P3Dv5.1 for the landing.
Resume modeling
Despite the worldwide semiconductor shortage expected until 2022, our device developer’s graphics card finally arrived and was installed immediately! He measures the luck of being able to benefit from this technology despite this shortage.
So, after 6 months of forced “vacation”, we will be able to resume modeling with passion! The Venom adventure will start again, in P3Dv5 and P3Dv4. Then, hoping that MSFS will improve again its flight modeling possibilities, we will work on the realization of our existing planes for this new simulator; the first plane will be the Morane D-3801… But we’ll have to be a bit more patient !
Venom Startup
Even if the availability of graphic cards has momentarily stopped the development of our Venom, some members of our team continue to test what has already been achieved, such as the start-up of this new plane.
LSMM Tests with P3Dv5
Some pictures of the development of Meiringen (LSMM) for P3Dv5.
The runway is equipped with emergency stop nets and these are animated and actuated by an operator as needed (SODE).
The runway is also equipped with functional stop wires: no matter where the touchdown occurs on the runway, if the stick is lowered, then the aircraft will be stopped by the wires.
Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS)
This summer’s event generated a lot of passion in the world of simulation! The highly anticipated release of Microsoft Flight Simulator is occupying the minds of simers around the world.
Like the majority of developers, we will be working with this promising new platform as well. We’ll have to be patient, as the tools needed for development are not yet fully completed. But we are very attentive, and we are already working, today, so that our future achievements, and the old ones, can allow you to fly in this new simulator.
Good flights to all, and patience!
