To celebrate the release of the Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update VI, as well as its first anniversary, with a new mesh and stunning textures, we have prepared the first Morane D-3801 Beta version so that our testers can discover this new Switzerland (and Germany and Austria) in all its glory. A lot of work has already been done for this version of the Morane, there is still a lot to do before its release! Read more
Work continues on our Venom DH-112. The various cockpit lights are almost finished. They are all controlled by a specific controller for each light: the on-board lighting, the instrument lighting, and the UV lighting.
The flexibility of the Venom’s wings is tested! The realization in Blender, and the first tests in P3Dv5.2. An image of the takeoff, a tight turn, and the normal flight at about 1 G. And it works!
In front of the Clin d’Ailes museum at Payerne airfield (Switzerland), our Venom continues its transformation to become the new flagship of our squadron. For the precise fuel consumption tests, the flunts were created, and the elements related to the fuel gauge were modeled. For the pleasure of the eyes, the functional rear view mirror was implemented. And for realism, the smoke effects at the start have been corrected.
We present you a nice video made with our Vampire DH-100 during a shooting exercise on the Axalp! The director of this video is Charles, our project manager and former military pilot. He used FSX for the parking part (FSRecoder), P3Dv4.5 for the shooting part and P3Dv5.1 for the landing.
Despite the worldwide semiconductor shortage expected until 2022, our device developer’s graphics card finally arrived and was installed immediately! He measures the luck of being able to benefit from this technology despite this shortage. So, after 6 months of forced “vacation”, we will be able to resume modeling with passion! The Venom adventure will start again, in P3Dv5 and P3Dv4. Then, hoping that MSFS will improve again its flight modeling possibilities, we will work on Read more
Even if the availability of graphic cards has momentarily stopped the development of our Venom, some members of our team continue to test what has already been achieved, such as the start-up of this new plane.
Some pictures of the development of Meiringen (LSMM) for P3Dv5. The runway is equipped with emergency stop nets and these are animated and actuated by an operator as needed (SODE). The runway is also equipped with functional stop wires: no matter where the touchdown occurs on the runway, if the stick is lowered, then the aircraft will be stopped by the wires.
We are continuing our work on the Venom P3D with the first tests on the speed curves. And at the same time, our Morane D-3801 for MSFS is also moving forward, in close collaboration with the developer community and the Asobo team. A fruitful collaboration is full of lessons!
While continuing the modeling of the Venom DH-112, we have also begun work on the native MSFS Morane. Initial results are very encouraging and demonstrate the graphical capability of Microsoft Flight Simulator. The images illustrate the exceptional rendering of the reflection!
